A Simpson fire suit race worn by Dale Earnhardt Sr. during the 1998 NASCAR Thunder Special Motegi 500, at the Twin Ring Motegi, in Motegi Japan. This is the first race that Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earhardt Jr. raced on the same team. Dale Jr. finished 6th, besting his father Dale Sr. who finished 8th. In addition, it was the first ever NASCAR oval race held in Japan. With main sponsor “Coca-Cola” logo embroidered on the front of the suit, and throughout, as well as many logos and patches from secondary sponsors. "Winston Cup Series - 7-Time Champion Dale Earnhardt" is embroidered in the top left of the suit. Of note on the left shoulder is the 50th Anniversary NASCAR patch. Signed "Dale Earhardt" in black marker on the front of the suit. This suit was originally auctioned off by Earhardt himself at the Winston Cup Preview in January of 1999 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
