A group of four menus from the “World Famous Di Maggio’s Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge. ” Opened in 1937 on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf by Joe DiMaggio and his family after his rookie season with the New York Yankees. Originally called “Joe Di Maggio’s Grotto.” Original “Grotto” menu signed “With Best Wishes Tom Di Maggio Fisherman’s Wharf.” DiMaggio’s older brother Tom managed the restaurant for many years.
