A Spalding Official National League baseball signed by members of the 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers. The baseball has been signed by Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Billy Cox, Bobby Morgan, George Shuba, Wayne Belardi, Don Thompson, Rube Walker, Bill Antonello, Carl Erskine, Preacher Roe, Billy Loes, Clem Labine, Ben Wade, Joe Black, Jim Hughes, and manager Chuck Dressen. While the majority of the signatures on the ball are signed by the players listed, a few signatures on the ball are classified as "clubhouse signatures." It is known that from the 1920s to the 1980s, from time to time clubhouse personnel (i.e., batboys/attendants etc.) were asked to perform the duties of signing autographs for players. Clubhouse signatures present on this ball are from the following players: Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Carl Furillo, Russ Meyer, Johnny Podres, Bob Milliken, Ralph Branca and one illegible. 25 signatures total.
