A 1975 script for an unproduced film based on the play John, Paul, George, Ringo... and Bert by Willy Russell, who also wrote the screenplay. The stage version opened in London in 1974. George Harrison attended the premiere. Harrison left at intermission, but before he left he revoked the rights for his song "Here Comes the Sun." The plot of the story is that Bert was once a member of the Quarrymen, and after he was kicked out of the band he becomes an obsessed fan. Given Harrison's negative reaction, it is not surprising the play was never seen on screen. From the collection of Terry Apsey. Categories: The Beatles
