The inscribed engraving on the back reads, "To Sammy Davis Jr. Good Luck Always Jack Entratter 1957." Davis converted to Judaism after his 1954 car crash prompted a conversation between Davis and his friend Eddie Cantor about the similarities between Judaism and black culture.
