A letter dated January 17, 1936, from then 20-year-old Frank Sinatra to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Written on Frank Sinatra Hoboken stationery. The letter is in regard to the delay of returning his 1934 driver's license. Reads in part, "Enclosed you will find my 1934 drivers licinse [sic] which was requested by your department on October 9, 1935. The delay, being caused by the fact that I was touring the country with one of Major Bowes Amateur Troops." In pencil the letter has been marked file and numbered 747544. Some staining, discoloration and ripping present. Housed in a frame with a black and white reprinted photograph of Sinatra.
