A hairpiece used by John Wayne in the film El Dorado (Paramount, 1966) for Wayne's role as Cole Thornton. Originally from the collection of make-up artist Larry Butterworth, who worked with Wayne in the 1960s. Contained in a Max Factor Hollywood box with original receipt dated "July 30, 1965" noting that this toupee was for John Wayne at a cost of $200.
