A fully ruched dress of vintage silver lame with center back zip closure. Midler wore this dress during her debut at Carnegie Hall as well as during performances of her January 1973 through December 1973 Divine Miss M tour. The dress was also featured on the back cover of her self titled 1973 Atlantic Records album. A copy of the Bette Midler LP accompanies this lot. "Norma Kamali and I met in the late 1960s and worked together for years. I adored her. This is what we used to call 'The Baked Potato' dress. It unzipped to reveal a corset and pedal pushers also in this auction. (page 21). I wore it for my debut at Carnegie Hall. I was pushed onstage standing on a little island, singing "The Moon of Manakoora"." - Bette Categories: Bette Midler
