Sino-Tibetan, 19th century. A figural bronze sculpture with gilt remnants, depicting a seated Guanyin (or Guanshiyin, or Guanyin Bodhisattva) in dhyanasana pose, with elaborate crown, with concentric disc earrings, with beaded gown, with flowing fabric draping her shoulders and arms, with a jar (traditionally considered to contain pure water) in her left hand, with right hand in mudra gesture, seated on lotus flower base, underside with maker's mark with central flower flanked on four sides by diamonds with scalloped diamond border. Overall approximately 11.75" x 7".
