A blue jacket worn by Steve McQueen during the production of Le Mans (National General Pictures, 1971). A Glenoit brand jacket with Polarmate black lining. Two Gulf Oil Team Sweden patches are affixed to the jacket on the left arm and one at the left breast. McQueen is shown here in a similar jacket. The jacket was a gift from McQueen to makeup artist and friend Wes Dawn in the mid-1970s. Dawn gifted the jacket to sports writer Kerry Morse in 1981. Accompanied by a VIP pass to the Bonham’s Steve McQueen auction held on November 11, 2006, at the Petersen Automotive Museum, where the jacket was lot 224. Size 48. Categories:
