A handcrafted marionette with mannequin rubber face and hands and hand carved wood body. This marionette is dressed in an elaborate sequined multi-part costume with paillettes and rhinestone accented shoes, earrings, bracelets, necklace, and fishnet stockings. With fully animated eyes, mouth, joints, and limbs and painted fingernails and toenails. Used in a sequence of the motion picture A Star Is Born with Judy Garland (Warner Bros., 1954) where Garland’s character is performing a voice-over for a Trinidad Coconut Oil Shampoo commercial. The initial showing of the film at the Pantages Theater included this sequence, for which Bob Baker created an entire set. The scene was ultimately cut from the final version of the film. In 2010, the film was rereleased and included portions of the "Taquita" scenes including Bob Baker and Alton Wood manipulating the marionettes.
