A collection of three vintage and modern radios including a Zenith model H511, serial number G-245126; a 1997 reproduction “1934 Spirit of St. Louis” radio, serial number B635474; a reproduction Crosley radio/CD player; and an RCA Lawton turntable/CD player/AM/FM radio that sat on McMahon’s office desk (together with a copy of the LP “And me...I’m Ed McMahon” (Cameo-Parkway Records, 1963). Accompanying this lot are an “Ed McMahon Television Workshop” megaphone, a 1966 “Best Announcer” award from the Television Editors of the United States, a 1974 citation to Edward Leo McMahon from the Lowell Technological Institute for “Consummate artistry in his chosen profession,” and a group of documents regarding Ed McMahon’s membership in the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters, including a luncheon honoring him in 1991.
