A sheet of engineering plans for the factory of Oskar Schindler’s Krakow Nazi munitions factory dated “15. 11.43.” These drawings show engineering plans for the factory, including supports, foundation, T-joints, and anchoring of vertical supports. The plans are not the original drawings but appear to be plans submitted for approval. Stamped in Polish “Archiwum Planow/ budownictwa mijskiego,” which roughly translated reads “Archive’s Plans/ Municipal Building.” Additionally stamped in German “Siemens-Bauunion G.m.b.H./ Konstruktionskurs Krakao.” Siemens-Bauunion was a civil engineering contractor. The factory, where industrialist Oskar Schindler is credited with saving the lives of 1,200 Jews, is now open to the public as a museum. 50 1/4 by 32 5/8 inches Categories:
