A wooden high stool with circular seat, used on stage by Frank Sinatra during his concert to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on January 26, 1980. Sinatra performed to an audience of 175,000, a world record that was unbroken until Tina Turner’s performance at the same stadium in 1988 and Paul McCARTNEY’s in 1990. Sinatra sat on the stool at various points during the performance, and also used it to hold his music. The stool is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Michael Castellano, Sinatra’s wardrobe manager and friend. Categories:
