A set of costume pieces worn by Errol Flynn in his role of the Earl of Essex in Essex and Elizabeth (Warner Bros. , 1939). The lot consists of a short green silk cape detailed with gold cord appliqué trim and similar vented breeches of green detailed strips over rough textured gold lamé. Also included is an off-white, ribbed cotton collar with the name "Flynn" and "#3" inscribed. The cape has a cropped Western Costume label marked "Earl Flynn [sic] #3 Prod. 267." The tag also has the name "Daniels" written in, likely from a subsequent production. The breeches have a Western Costume label that reads "23842 #3 Essex - Errol Flynn."
