Chinese, 19th century. A group of two similar carved giltwood figural sculptures, each depicting a male seated figure, possibly monk or immortal, with face chain or facial beading adornment below mustache, each with heavy arched eyebrows, bald heads, polychrome red lips, rounded cheeks, pleasant faces and elongated earlobes, each on red block form bench seat wearing long robes, in relaxed pose. One with applied label on verso with Chinese text, otherwise unmarked. Figure with man with bent elevated knee approximate height 24.4", width 15.3", depth 13.7".
