A prototype pleated ombré gold floor-length costume with a Western Costume label inscribed "Elizabeth Taylor/ Cleopatra," designed by Irene Sharaff for the motion picture Cleopatra (20th Century Fox, 1963), which received an Academy Award nomination for Costume Design. Taylor is seen here in a similar gown. Accompanied by a black and white photograph of Taylor as she appeared in the film.
