A two-piece ensemble worn by Jane Russell as Rio McDonald in the 1943 film The Outlaw (United Artists). Comprised of a black silk jersey peasant top with elastic at the neckline and sleeves. Together with a rayon multicolored floral skirt. The top has a handsewn label marked "United Costumers Hollywood" with handwritten inscription "Jane Russell" and "size 3." The skirt has a handsewn label marked "United Costumers Hollywood" with handwritten inscription "Jane Russell." No size marked. Accompanied by a copy of a film still showing Russell wearing the ensemble.
