Late 19th/Early 20th century. Lidded dresser box composed of burled wood and with metal mounts throughout with scrolled foliate decoration on top and front surrounding escutcheon. Metal banding with dark cabochon detail. Interior of box with brown fabric lining with looped storage on interior of hinged lid. Marked on bottom "COWAN CHICAGO".
