A group of six love letters handwritten by Mike Tyson to Charlene Friend while Tyson was incarcerated in 1993 at The Indiana Youth Center (later renamed The Plainfield Correctional Facility). In the letters, Tyson often refers to his love for Friend and signs the end of each letter "Love Mike." Some of the language Tyson uses in the letters is of an explicit sexual nature. Included in one of the letters is a white handkerchief with artwork depicting a prison cell with Tyson's name in red lettering and signed "Mark Ellinger" in the bottom right corner. Tyson has inscribed the handkerchief "5/2/93" and "Hey Charlene/ it was great/ talking to you the/ other day, I love you." Included in the lot are a candid photograph of Tyson in the gym inscribed on verso "Me in the gym,/ you know something/ I hate this photo" and two candid photographs of Tyson sitting on a sofa.
