A BBC internal-use envelope signed on the reverse by all four Beatles in blue ballpoint pen. The autographs were obtained on March 19, 1964, at BBC Television Theater in Shepherd’s Bush, London. The Beatles were there to tape their debut appearance on Britain’s popular television show Top of the Pops . Though the actual broadcast at this time was from Manchester, The Beatles were allowed to pre-tape in London. Performances of both sides of their new single “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “You Can’t Do That” were included in the following Wednesday’s edition on March 25, 1964, transmitted from 6:35 to 7:00 p.m. “Can’t Buy Me Love” was repeated at the same time on April 8, 1964. The signatures are accompanied by a letter from the son-in-law of the original recipient, confirming this information and stating that the signatures were obtained immediately after the performance as The Beatles were on their way out of the studio. Also accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Tracks Ltd. 9 by 4 inches Categories: The Beatles
