David Bowie stage- and studio-used red wine, Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman guitar, manufactured in the Nashville factory on January 31,1989, serial number 80319537. The guitar has a red wine finish with thinline archtop, a single rounded cutaway, two humbucker pickups, gold hardware, with a Bigsby tailpiece and a classical style neck. The guitar comes in the original case which contains original warranty paperwork, a pack of D'Addario XL jazz medium gauge guitar strings, an opened package of Jim Dunlop guitar picks and a back of Dunlop original Straplok hardware. The guitar was used on stage by Bowie during his March - September of 1990, Sound + Vision World Tour. Bowie also subsequently used this guitar during studio sessions for his 1995 concept album "Outside." The guitar is accompanied by a letter from the consignor, who worked with Bowie from 1987 through 2000 and a DVD of Bowie performing with this guitar from the Sounds and Vision Tour.
