A custom made Drum Workshop (DW) drum kit played by Michael Jackson's drummer, Jonathan Moffett, during Jackson's HIStory Tour. The kit features a total of eight drums, with each drum featuring Michael Jackson's HIStory album cover artwork as a custom photographic art wrap graphic. Of the eight drums, four are "Rack Toms" with rack-mount bracketing and individual diameters and depths of 10 by 8, 12 by 10, 13 by 12, and 14 by 12 inches. Two are "Floor Toms" with 16 by 14 and 18 by 16 inch dimensions, with stand-mount bracketing (i.e., no legs). All Toms feature Remo Ambassador drum heads, which exhibit moderate use. Included is one Snare drum with a 14-inch diameter and four-inch depth, featuring a Remo Coated Ambassador drum head, and one Bass drum with 24-inch diameter and 20-inch depth. The Bass drum features a Remo Emperor drum head on the "kick" side. The front of the Bass drum features a custom drum head, with Jackson's HIStory album cover graphic and the words "Michael Jackson/ HIStory World Tour" displayed. A portion of the front drum head has been cut out for microphone placement. The inside of the Bass drum is filled with material for "dampening" the sound of the drum. Jackson's HIStory Tour began on September 7, 1996, and ended on October 15, 1997. The tour included a total of 82 concerts attended by approximately 4.5 million fans.
