This vintage western outfit was the performance uniform worn by Hank Williams' backing band, the Drifting Cowboys. The matching shirt and pants each have tags reading, "Another Original Westerner tailored by Harris Tailoring Co. Fort Worth Texas." The shirt and pants are made of gold and dark brown gabardine with red accenting and snap closure buttons. This uniform was owned and worn by original Drifting Cowboys member Bob McNett, who accompanied Hank Williams to Nashville from the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport. McNett's solid rhythm guitar set a pattern that is still heard in Nashville recording studios. The uniform originally came from McNett's widow and is accompanied by an assortment of photos showing McNett wearing the pieces. Categories:
