A vintage Frontex Model western shirt in blue gabardine with tan yolk, double arrow chest pockets and extensive floral embroidery at chest, back and cuffs. The shirt belonged to and was worn by Hank Williams . Williams was extensively photographed wearing the shirt as early as 1948. Williams loaned and eventually gave the shirt to one of the founding members of his backing band the Drifting Cowboys, Bob McNett. Williams gave the shirt to McNett to used during a photoshoot and told him to keep the shirt afterward. The shirt is accompanied by a two-page note from McNett's widow confirming the story and adding, "This may have been one of Hank's first shirts he is seen wearing it in several photos...When Bob returned the shirt to Hank he said Quote: you keep it Robert you can't wear those farmer shirts in Nashville." The shirt is accompanied by a book featuring photos of Williams wearing the shirt and additional images of Williams in the shirt. Categories:
