Original oil study on canvas for "Triptych" a three panel painting depicting Michael Jackson being crowned and knighted and presenting an original poem by Michael. This painting comes with a typed letter signed by Nordahl reading, "This is one of the three studies I did of Michael for the painting "Triptych." Michael asked me to do three or four sketches featuring him being knighted, being crowned and illustrating a poem written by him. I decided to do a triptych (three sepearate paintings contained in one frame). I believe he had a particular purpose in mind for these paintings because for the first time I was given a deadline.
