Elvis Presley handwritten notes for his acceptance speech for an award presented to him by the National Jaycees as one of the most outstanding young men in America. Notes are written on three sheets of "From the home of...Elvis Presley" note paper, and the phrases are reflected in what was his speech. The notes read in part, "And these gentlemen here see these type people who care. They're dedicated you realize. They might be building the kingdom of heaven right here...[sic]" Other awardees included Boston's first black councilman, a biophysicist and a cancer researcher. Accompanied by an Elvis signed program from the event as well as the signatures of other awardees and a letter of authenticity from Joe Esposito.
