A black double-breasted tuxedo tailcoat custom made by H. J. Russo & Brothers of Hollywood. The interior pocket features an original tailoring label with "Lou Costello" and production date "Dec. 29th, 1950" clearly typed onto the label. The interior of the jacket is additionally stamped "Universal International Wardrobe." The coat was worn by Costello as he portrayed Wilbert Smith in the 1951 film "Comin' Round the Mountain" co-starring Bud Abbott and Dorothy Shay. Costello wore this jacket during his first on-screen appearance in the film during a sequence where Wilbert attempts a magician's escape trick on stage. Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories:
