Invitation and program from the 1977 celebration luncheon which includes the 13 cent US 50th Anniversary of Talking Pictures stamp attached to the back of the program, and the front is signed by silent film star Jetta Goudal. Accompanied by two vintage original film stills of Al Jolson in "The Jazz Singer" the other holding a child, a world premiere ribbon from "The Jazz Singer" (Warner Bros., 1927) and a photo negative from the film "The Jazz Singer." This film is generally considered the first "talking" motion picture. Also present are two programs from the 1969 gala tribute to Jack Warner. One program is inscribed "To Diane & Bill Best Always Jack Warner." Each program is accompanied by a 45 rpm record with excerpts from the "Jazz Singer" (Warner Bros, 1927) and "The Singing Fool" (Warner Bros., 1928). Largest, 11 by 8 1/2 inches Categories:
