Signed in black marker on right. "Cleopatra" was nominated for an Academy Award that year; however, it lost to another Colbert film "It Happened One Night" (Columbia Pictures, 1934) for which Colbert also won the Academy Award for Best Actress. 9 3/8 by 7 1/16 inches PROVENANCE From the Estate of Michael Teague, close friend of Colbert.
