Letter on Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation stationery from Paul Monash, writer and producer of "Peyton Place," dated "December 14, 1965 regarding Mia Farrow's recent haircut. Letter reads in part, "When you came into my office on Friday, after cutting your hair, you expected me to be angry with you. I did not show anger because that seemed pointless...consider carefully the effect upon your career should people begin to feel that your impulsiveness can impair productions." Accompanied by an original vintage black and white photograph of Farrow the day she cut her hair. Says Farrow of the letter, "This was a letter admonishing me for cutting my hair. I had cut my waist-length hair as short as a boy's. This letter was telling me how irresponsible it was." Letter 10 1/2 by 7 1/4 inches; Photograph, 9 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches PROVENANCE From the collection of Mia Farrow. Categories: MIA FARROW
