A framed certificate from the New Westminster Police Department appointing Michael Jackson as an honorary officer of the department. Jackson visited the department on November 18, 1984. Jackson was in Vancouver British Columbia when he accepted the invitation to the New Westminster police station. "They were trying to keep it quite secret," retired police officer Ken McIntosh said. "He was such a public figure." Jackson posed with the New Westminster police force and filmed himself walking down the stairs of City Hall for possible use in a future video. "The cars started stopping and people started realizing that it was Michael Jackson and started to come up," McIntosh said. An image of Jackson walking with the officers that day was used in Jackson's 1988 autobiography Moonwalk. A signed letter from Ken Mcintosh describing the day is included with this lot. framed 13 1/2 by 11 inches Categories: Michael Jackson
