$20,480
An Elvis Presley electric guitar used by Presley in rehearsals for his 1968 Comeback Special. Cherry burst finish, single cutaway, no serial number visible, block inlay. Presley gifted the guitar to the husband of Presley's maid and cook, Nancy Rooks. Presley and Mr. Rooks reportedly got into a conversation about music and whether or not Mr. Rooks still played the guitar. When Rooks told Presley he no longer had a guitar, Presley went into the house and came out with this electric guitar for Rooks. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Stephen Shutts and a letter from Presley collector Greg Page, who states that the original letter of authenticity from Nancy Rooks was lost by a Texas auction house. With a black hardshell guitar case. Categories: Elvis Presley
