This one-page decree was presented to Elvis Presley by Memphis Mayor William Ingram for Presley's 32nd birthday in 1967. The proclamation is for renaming the Mid-South Coliseum to the Elvis Presley Coliseum. The proclamation declares all the great things that Presley has done for the city of Memphis as well as his country. Printed on heavy stock with the seal of Shelby County, Memphis, Tennessee, and bearing the signature of Mayor Ingram. The Memphis city council later recanted the proclamation and refused to change the name of the coliseum. Also present is a button with an image of the Coliseum that reads "I'm For The Elvis Presley Coliseum."
