$12,800
An Elvis Presley Lord Elgin direct read watch given to Presley by Jean and Julian Aberbach of Hill and Range Music Company. The case is inscribed on the back “To/ Elvis/ Jean/ Julian.” The Aberbach brothers owned the majority of the publishing rights for Presley’s music through their company, Hill and Range. The watch, made in the 1950s, has a 14k gold-filled case and a black band with a gold-filled clasp, added later. A small cream-colored window at the "6" displays twin slide of hours and minutes. This style of watch became nicknamed the “Elvis Presley” because Presley was photographed wearing this style of watch and also gave them as gifts. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Mrs. Robert Adams, neighbor and friend of Mrs. Lester Hoffman. Lester Hoffman was Presley’s dentist, and it is presumed this watch was given to the doctor, or his wife, by Presley. Also present is a letter from the Elvis collector who purchased the watch from Mrs. Hoffman. Categories: Elvis Presley
