Marked in the upper right corner “2/ /60” the telegram reads in part "However I wish to return to Memphis the same way that any other serviceman returns to his hometown without ceremony or fanfare…seeing the city of Memphis my family friends and fans will be the most welcome site [sic] in the world to me.” Along the top and the bottom of the telegram the word “copy” is typed.
