An avocado green silk shirt worn by Frank Sinatra while promoting a 1976 TV special with honoree John Wayne, “An All-Star Tribute to John Wayne. " The custom-made Nat Wise shirt has mother of pearl buttons and a Nat Wise label, "Frank Sinatra," and the date "February 1971" sewn inside the garment. “Ol Blue Eyes is Back” was originally Sinatra’s comeback album in 1973 after a brief time away from singing while in retirement. The album became a commercial success, and this resulted in a television special of the same name. The concert featured many of Sinatra’s most classic songs, including several new ones like “Send in the Clowns.” During the special, “singing sailor” film clips introduced Gene Kelly to join Sinatra onstage for several song and dance numbers. This TV event would announce to the world that Sinatra’s retirement was officially over, marking the second coming of arguably the most memorable singer of any American generation. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Michael Castellano. Categories: Frank Sinatra
