Frank Zappa’s certificate of baptism. The certificate states that Zappa was baptized on December 29, 1940, eight days after his birth, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and dated May 24, 1956, when the baptism was registered at a church. The back of the certificate where other life events would be listed (First Communion, Confirmation, etc.) is blank. Zappa was raised Catholic but evolved into an atheist.
