$25,600
A Vinnie Vincent Jackson prototype shark fin guitar with hot pink finish. The guitar was used by Vincent on stage and in the studio for recording the 1983 Lick it Up album with KISS; the KISS Creatures of the Night Tour; the KISS Lick it Up tour; recording Vinnie Vincent Invasion’s self-titled album; recording Vinnie Vincent’s Invasion All Systems Go album; while recording the never released album Guitars from Hell ; and to record the Euphoria album. Vincent states that this was his guitar of choice of all of his instruments. Vincent received four prototype guitars from Jackson Guitars in 1981-82, of which this is one. The guitar bears no serial number and was originally finished in gold flake when used on the KISS Creatures of the Night tour in 1982. Vincent returned the guitars to the factory to be refinished in hot pink to avoid the green tint of the gold finished guitars. At that time the Jackson logo was updated on the headstock of the guitar. In 1984 Vincent made further alterations to the guitar, including changing the whammy unit from a Floyd Rose model to a Jackson fine tuning tremolo unit, moving the volume knob and disconnecting the rhythm pickup. Vincent wanted only the lead pickup for maximum power and distortion for his work as lead guitarist in KISS. By disconnecting the rhythm pickup he ensured that he would not activate it by accident. Through-neck design with five of the original six strings. The three other prototype guitars made for Vincent from 1982
