A handwritten letter from Van Morrison to musician Mick Cox. The two-page letter, written while at King Edward Hotel in New York, reads in part “There’s an antique shop across the street with a pocket trumpet I’m saving up to get myself for Christmas…” and signed “Love, Van.” Cox’s brother John played with Morrison, and when he left in 1967, he recommended Mick. At the same time he was offered a place with the band Eire Apparent, which was starting a tour with Jimi Hendrix. Cox chose to work with Eire Apparent and became a friend and mentee of Hendrix's. Accompanied by the original handwritten transmittal envelope postmarked December 8, 1967. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks Ltd. 10 1/2 by 7 1/4 inches Categories: Van Morrison
