Early 19th century. Carved wood frame with French gray finish with acanthus leaf, scroll and bead motif. Hooded chair with cream colored tapestry fabric upholstery on back, hood, seat cushion and arm rests. Chair raised on four fluted tapered legs. Approximate height 63 inches, width (across arms) 29.25 inches, depth 22 inches. Seat to floor 21 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
