$25,600
A pair of John Lennon's prescription "granny" glasses. The gold-tone wire-rim glasses with cable temples have lightly yellow-tinted lenses, circa 1967. The glasses were originally auctioned by Apple transportation managers Ken and Margaret Brunt. Lennon wore the glasses for about a month in the summer of 1967 but found the lenses too small. When his new glasses arrived, Lennon gave this pair to Ken Brunt. Please note that this item is currently touring in the GRAMMY Museum ® exhibition " Ladies and Gentlemen ... The Beatles !" and will not be available to the winning bidder until late 2016 . PROVENANCE Lot 692, Sotheby's, London, September 14, 1995 Categories: John Lennon
