A beige period dress worn by Barbara Stanwyck as Victoria Barkley in season one, episode seven of the television seriesThe Big Valley (ABC, 1965-1969). The dress has iridescent gold paisley long sleeves, a V neckline, self-covered buttons, accented with brown velvet and embroidered brown floral applique with ivory lace and eyelet trim, hook and eye with snap back closure. An internal Western Costume Co. label is inscribed “Barbara Stawyck [sic] No. 1301.” The dress was worn when the family is discussing the return of Katharine Ross as Maria, who has been back East at school.
