A mixed media costume rendering of Robert Young as the title character in Ivanhoe (MGM, 1952) The rendering is signed “Valles. " The image depicts Ivanhoe wearing a light brown Houppelande (flaring sleeves), a red tunic with green hose leggings. This style was common from a later era, and the rendering is conceptual. The top right of the page includes the film’s title “IVANHOE” while the bottom right includes the artist’s name and the number “33.” On the bottom left corner is a faded property claim for the Western Costume Company. Ivanhoe featured an iconic cast of actors, including Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine, and George Sanders.
