$2,500
A Travilla crème pantsuit worn by Peyton List as Jane Sterling in the television drama Mad Men (Lionsgate Television, 2007-2015). The costume consists of a vintage Travilla crème crepe jumpsuit with square midriff cutouts and rhinestone trim, with a Travilla label sewn into the garment and a pair of rhinestone chandelier earrings with triangle tear and simulated pearl dangles. List wears this garment in "Far Away Places" (Season 5, Episode 6) when she drags her husband, Roger (played by John Slattery), to a dinner party thrown by her friends. At the party, everyone takes LSD, including Jane and Roger. While tripping, the two end up dancing in an intimate embrace. Later that night, they decide that it's time to get a divorce. The earrings were also worn in the Amazon original series Transparent (Picrow, 2014) by the character Connie, portrayed by Michaela Watkins. In "The Best New Girl" (Season 1, Episode 8), Connie meets Maura Pfefferman (played by Jeffrey Tambor) at a retreat for cross-dressing men; she is there with her husband, a fellow cross dresser. Connie and Maura hang out together the whole weekend, get drunk and dance. Costume designer Janie Bryant. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a copy of the episode. Categories: Mad Men
