$1,600
A period-style pirate coat worn by Anthony Quinn as Capt. Roc Brasiliano in the motion picture Against All Flags (Universal, 1952) starring Errol Flynn and Maureen O’Hara. The coat is constructed of red velvet with gold tone buttons on the front and cuffed sleeves. The interior of the garment has a Western Costume Company stamp and label inscribed “Tony Quinn” typed in slightly faded ink. Quinn wears this coat throughout the film, most notably in the scene when Brian Hawke (played by Flynn), a British officer, goes undercover as a pirate. Once Hawke has arrived at Diego-Suarez, he is greeted with an air of suspicion by the other pirates, especially Brasiliano, who insists that Hawke prove himself in a fight to the death with a burly thief. The jacket was also worn in several promotional images and in the film’s official trailer. Costume design by Edward Stevenson. Accompanied by a copy of the film and a certificate of authenticity from the costume house. Categories:
