A stage-used Ludwig Classic gold sparkle drum kit from his performance at the Concert for George . The memorial concert, in honor of George Harrison, was held at the Royal Albert Hall on November 29, 2002, the one year anniversary of Harrison’s death. Starr began by singing two songs and then introduced Paul McCartney at which point he played these drums to accompany McCartney on the songs “For You Blue,” “Something,” and “All Things Must Pass.” The evening continued with Starr playing on “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “My Sweet Lord,” and “Wah Wah.” The super-group “George’s Band” performing that evening included Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Dhani Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Klaus Voormann and of course, Starr and McCartney.
