A custom black wool tuxedo jacket with black satin notched lapel. The interior proper right pocket has a label reading in part, "Hayward / 95 Mount Street, London W.1." with name and date handwritten in blue pen, "Ringo Starr" and date listed as "9388 - 24 - 9 - 70" presumably indicating the suit was made September 24, 1970. The jacket exactly matches one worn by Starr in the 1969 comedy The Magic Christian however the date of manufacture precludes this from being the same jacket. It is possibly a jacket of the same design created for Starr's personal use as it also matches the jacket Starr wore to the 1972 premiere of The Godfather. Categories: Ringo Starr
