An original Katharine Hepburn self-portrait watercolor, gifted to Emily Perkins, circa 1940s. The painting shows Hepburn in a red polka dot blouse with her hair up. Perkins is referred to by Hepburn biographers as Hepburn’s “dresser-secretary.” Perkins, once a studio seamstress, served as seamstress, secretary, and companion to Hepburn.
