An original Katharine Hepburn watercolor, gifted to Emily Perkins, circa 1940s. The painting is a portrait of a blonde woman, possibly Perkins, with a red flower in her hair. Signed “Katharine Hepburn” at lower right. Perkins is referred to by Hepburn biographers as Hepburn’s “dresser-secretary.” Perkins, once a studio seamstress, served as seamstress, secretary, and companion to Hepburn.
